Gun Dealer Tips on how to become a gun dealer

Becoming a gun dealer is a great way to be able to buy wholesale firearms. If you are an avid collector of firearms, or you just want to become a gun dealer because it is a profitable business, you first need to obtain a federal firearms license. Below I will outline some steps to becoming a gun dealer.

In these times post September 11th there is a lot of regulations when it comes to firearms. If you want to buy firearms wholesale, or become a gun dealer, you would think you would have to jump through hoops to get the proper license. Fortunately it is not that hard. It may become harder in the future because after all, we have a new president and congress coming into power this year. You should get your federal firearms license before the regulations are changed so you can be grandfathered in.

To obtain your federal firearms license you must first qualify. There are a number of things that make you a candidate. Some of these qualifications are listed below:

You must be at least 21 years old. In some states you need to be at least 23 years old.
You must have a clean criminal record. If you have violated the gun control act in any way, or have any kind of felonies on your record, then you can forget about it right now.
You must be able to fill out all the proper paperwork and tell the truth on all forms.
You must be a resident of the United States or legally be allowed to conduct business in the United States.

There are ways to make this process very easy and painless. I currently have a website full of information on how to get your federal firearms license. We provide all the necessary form and tips on how to make this process much easier.
